Our Wedding Video.

Here is our engagement video. We were so lucky to get to spend a day with Cam's cousin Jenna to shoot our video. Cameron rode up the canyon (6miles) on his scooter... Jenna and I rode next to him laughing the whole way! It was a perfect day with Cameron and Jenna. Our video turned out absolutely perfect! Pay close attention to how BEAUTIFUL the scenery is. I'm not a huge fan of Utah, but I will have to admit that it is gorgeous here in the spring and summer. Thanks so much Jenna we love you! Enjoy...

He Gives Me Butterflies.

A lot has happened since I have last blogged...

I got engaged to the love of my life Cameron John.

He proposed to me right after my best 1500 meter race of the season (perhaps the answer to his questioned may have been a little different if I had run slow-ha). Although I was experiencing a tremendous amount of fatigue and a complete lack of oxygen at the time, I managed to squeak out an excited "YES!" That freezing cold night on April 9th, in Tempe Arizona, easily  became the best day of my life.

UNTIL.... The day I was sealed for time and all eternity in the Mesa Arizona Temple, thus becoming Mrs. Cameron John Clifford.

Our wedding day was a beautiful day. We were sealed in the presence of all of our closest loved ones at 11:45am on Thursday June 30th. I will never forget how much love I felt for Cameron during that sacred moment.

Cameron's mom put together a wonderful luncheon at Tia Rosa's in Gilbert after the sealing. Our siblings and closest friends shared funny stories and gave us their blessings. Our fathers also spoke, for me this was a special moment because my old fashioned, rugged cowboy of a dad that I love so much, made it clear how much he loved Cameron. To me this was a huge deal because my dad is a hard man to please.

Later that night we got to celebrate with hundreds of our friends and family at our reception. The reception turned out perfectly! I cannot thank my Family, the Clifford's, and all others who helped enough. THANK YOU.

Thank you for making my fairy tale come true Cameron xoxo.

Saying Goodbye to Ruthie

On Saturday Cameron and I and some of our friends decided to go to Salt Lake to watch a movie and have a nice lunch. For the perfect ending to an already great day Cameron and I decided to go visit Nani (Nani is Cameron's grandma who lives in Salt Lake). She had been in the hospital for about a week because she fell and broke her hip, and if that wasn't bad enough she also caught pneumonia. We had visited her earlier that week and she was in such great spirits... cracking jokes and eating pizza and cake. She was absolutely the life of the party that night. It was so beautiful to see all eight of her children kneeling around her bed laughing with her and reminiscing about what wonderful lives they've all had growing up with their mother.

When we arrived at the care center that Saturday night the atmosphere was much different. All eight children were surrounding Nani's bed but this time everyone was silent. Cameron's uncle pulled me aside and explained to me that Nani was making the turn to go live with our Heavenly Father. As I stood in that room watching Nani lay quietly in her bed through my tear filled eyes; I couldn't help but think about how wonderful her life must have been. Here this beautiful woman was preparing to leave her life on earth and each and every one of her wonderful children sat beside her, holding her hands and her feet and resting their heads on her stomach. All of them were just radiating the love that they have for their mother. I have only had the chance to know Nani for a short time but I have come to love her. I am especially thankful that she raised her children to live the gospel and that they have instilled those values in their children.

Nani passed away that night. It will be very hard for those she left behind and she will be greatly missed. Although death is hard, I find peace in knowing that Nani is back with her sweetheart and that she was able to live life to the fullest. She has left behind an extraordinary family and she should be very proud of that.

If I only Had a Home...

What can I say... I'm obsessed with home decor. Unfortunately I do not have a home of my own, or more than two dollars to my name... but a girl can dream. Here are some of my favorite things!

MILES APART BUT STILL CLOSE TO MY HEART

The word brother is used by many people in many different ways... According to Urban Dictionary the word "brother" is what Hulk Hogan usually says after a sentence. Examples include; "You better believe it, brother", or "That's right, brother."

I happen to like this definition a little bit better..."A brother is a person whom you are related to... sometimes a role model... sometimes a friend... someone you will have forever... through the good and the bad."

My brother Sherod is definitely one of a kind, he works harder than anyone I know and he is always someone you can count on. I have not had the chance to see Sherod as much as I would like since he decided to pursue his collegiate dream at Michigan State University. Although I miss him like crazy, I am so proud of all of his accomplishments and most of all I'm proud to be able to call him MY brother.

Here's to YOU Alta Marie!

Many people know her as Ellie... but here's the thing... her real name is ALTA... yes that's right ALTA.

Fortunately for me, I know her as mom. She is the best mom anyone could ask for. She makes cheesy jokes, cooks amazing meals  (I miss those meals), always answers your calls, gives the best advice, and is so good at making you feel loved. She is my best friend and I'm thankful everyday for her. This is my little tribute to her. Alta Ellie Marie Hardt... I love you so so much!
